Krka waterfalls were given the status of a National Park in 1985. Krka National Park lies about 10km inland from Sibenik in Dalmatia country.
In the immediate vicinity of the park, there are several breathtaking places and some of them you should visit in 5 hours of your free time – Skradin (Skradinski Buk), Lozovac (Skradinski Buk), Roški Slap, Burnum / Puljane, Kistanje (Krka Monastery), Visovac Island. Enjoy the fresh air, wild nature and explore the Park by visiting NP Krka’s ethno museum, small stone houses, and an old watermill or the first hydroelectric power station in Europe.

We highly recommended to visit the beautiful small town Skradin where you can take a short boat ride down the River to attractive Skradinski buk waterfalls and just enjoy swimming here under the waterfall. You can also explore surrounding by walk on wooden pathways by the many lakes, falls, and waterways.
Can you imagine, the small lake island like from a fairy tale? Such a place really exists – Visovac island with its church and monastery in the middle of the lake. A small boat can take you there.

Finish with a visit to a local homestead to try some local homemade spirits and snacks.
